It probably won't. But I think if it did, it would address a bigger issue for me and Halo 4 MP. That because of the super fast gameplay it doesn't feel like HALO. It feels more like a COD/Battlefield in a Halo costume. If I can start with a weapon that I can kill someone with an incredible distance away in well under 2 seconds, it feels like the strategy is almost all gone. It come down to who gets the first shot.

Halo 4 retains the Halo feel simple because of its large varied sandbox, but when most of the sandbox is ignored because of starting with a very powerful weapon, then it becomes not about map control based on weapons. (Something that isn't helped with ordnance drops)

I use the DMR almost exclusively (except on small maps; go AR!) but it's because it's what I have to use to compete. I'd love to use other starting weapons and hopefully the weapon tweaks will help, but super fast gameplay was not what made the other Halo's great. It was the balance of the entire sandbox with health, weapons, speed, grenades, melee, and vehicles. I'm just worried that we're moving even further away from that.
