Adam Kovic of Inside Gaming talks about the potential of microtransactions allowing Halo multiplayer to be free.
He cites low population in Halo 4 MM and DLC map pack sales as reasons for bringing micro transactions to a free to play Halo 4 MM.
I have to say that from my experience, the number of people on 2old2play that have yet to buy all the map packs is noticeable. Normally we do not have so many map packs release this early in a Halo title's life span. For this reason I do not know what might have happened had the maps not been released on this advanced schedule. I am grateful to 343i for the earlier map pack releases but I am also disconcerted by how often I cannot play on them because friends do not have all the DLC.
I like what Adam has to say in this video. I am not sure what pitfalls there are.
