I suppose it depends, some games can use micro-transactions to good effect. I'm thinking of games like LoL which, as far as I know, allows everything in-game to be unlocked through playing, but all the stuff is also able for purchase.

Though I'm no huge fan of Legends, it could be that this system is absolutely hated. I AM, however, a huge Halo fan, and I DO know that if they start leveling minor pay-content into a game that I've already purchased the LE for (aside: I STILL have not been able to access "my" digital copy of FuD, to my lasting irritation). Well, I'd just say that it would further lower my respect levels of Microsoft.
