Personally it does feel a little tainted when a game you pay full price for (or higher for LE's) has microtransactions. That said, I would much prefer to buy the armor I want through microtransactions at the very beginning of the game's life than to have to earn commendations to unlock them. That is of course still secondary to just making them all open from the beginning, but I think we all know that will never happen.
