So Cortana's really dead, then

Frankie's comments make it seem more likely that Cortana isn't coming back at all this game.

Which I think is good.

I have no doubt we might see her crop up again at some point, but deaths are meaningless if they don't come with a cost, and time is one such penalty. There was no real point killing her if she was going to pop right back, because spending time with Chief alone and with other Spartans offers a lot more story potential for now.
