IMO, the only benefit it's giving is having some story stuff to chew on until either of the following comes out: new game, new novel, new video series.

Let's be honest, things have been slow here. I think it's important we have stuff like the comics to keep us talking, thinking, communicating, etc. Though, I do agree that next time they do this, a heavier investment should be made in it's quality. We, of course, expect quality when it comes to the Halo IP.

I personally don't care about the art quality much. I'm more unsatisfied with some of the story elements. I think it's cheesy to have an area of human souls floating around. I think the Didact acting like a Disney villain is lame.

I always felt Halo was more of a semi-realistic hard sci-fi kind of world. Even with the cheesy lines from Sgt. Johnson and the hilarious human cries from the Grunts. I don't know, mixed feels. Comics are interesting enough right now for me to keep reading though.
