Maybe it just wasn't going fast enough, or didn't hit me at a good angle. But it's sure not like a Ghost, which can irritatingly kill you with the merest brush at low speed (often with some fool Marine on it!). I've been smacked dead many times in mid-air though, when I didn't get my baill right.

The ship did cause my death once when I was on the bridge. As it came up through the deck near the corner, it pushed me through the cliff face and out of the loaded part of the level.
