I was actually kind of surprised that they were willing to kill off DeMarco. By no means an important (or really likeable) character, but he was pretty prevalent in Spartan Ops. Every Halo comic series so far has had very little impact on anything, so it's cool that this series will actually have some weight on the Halo Universe.

You know, I didn't really put it together that there were separate story arcs. I guess that explains why the Spirit of Fire and Ealen IV stories seem irrelevant to each other.

I wonder if these story arcs were ideas that they had floating around for a Spartan Ops season 2, or if they generated from something else. Bringing back the Arbiter and Spirit of Fire both seem kind of "fan-ficy". Maybe we'll end up seeing the ODST squad in this series as well :P
