Mac sound on level 2
Posted By: Twrch <jhurshman@rocketmail.com>Date: 12/29/00 9:45 a.m.

Using the level 2 files (PC) on a Mac, as several people have noticed, yields a playable level, but the music is pure static (although you can still barely hear the spoken lines).

I was comparing the level 1 files, and it seems that there are significant differences in the .dat files between Mac and PC versions, not at the beginning of the file, but nearer the middle. Perhaps an "endian" thing? So it seems to me that the data files are not completely interchangeable between Mac and PC.

Well, if anyone can find a way to convert the level 2 .dat file so the sound can be heard, that'd be cool. Otherwise, I'll just have to wait until 29 Jan.
