Yes, Bungie might have forgotten this one important bit. But it is possible these planes are VTOLs... Remember, this is the year 2032, not 2002... The propellers might differ from model to model, and those big plane's propellers needed to rise vertically might be hidden...

What I am thinking is, how did they get the third plane into the Repair Hangars(the last room with the door that leads to the second Airport level...)
