You've heard my arguments. You don't believe them. I accept that. C'mon, we don't need to start this again.
Incidentally, by the only hard objective definition of "canon"--a body of works known to be written by the same author--neither GURPS nor Myth III would qualify, as neither was directly written by the same guys who wrote the first games. Legal transfer of ownership doesn't enter into it. It only concerns sat down and typed out the words and the code.
Of course, we all prefer to use a more subjective definition--that of "officiality"--which requires justification for our individual interpretations. I have my set of justifications and you have yours, and we've found that we have no reason so far to compromise.
