: Well if you realy want to get tecnical, the Scotts were a
: combination of Irish settelers and Norse conquerers.
Yeah, I would have elaborated on this at the time, but I figured it wasn't important.
: The Irish settled much of Scottland in the dark ages,
: absorbing the native Picts and Scoti (don't hold me to
: spelling on that last one). They gave the country its
: major laungage, Galic(although that has now been
: replaced by english).
You mean the Scots gave the Irish Gζlic, right? All of the Gallic peoples, the Celtic tribes from present day France through the British Isles, spoke a dialect of Gζlic. The only true Celts remaining today to speak it happen to be in Scotland and Irland, but the main island of present-day England, Wales, and Scotland definitely had that language.
: Then the Norce began to raid the
: area before setteling large parts of the Highlands and
: Middle Scotland.
Yup.
: Actualy I think the Berserks are a sub-group of the North
: Men. Kind of like an order of knights, the best
: fighters of the clans try to join the elit Berserker
: clans. The actual ordenary people are not mentioned at
: all exept for the home guard.
That sounds very reasonable. It's the same as the Berserks/Berserkers of the Norse were just the foot soldiers.
: I wonder if the Empire required the Berserk clans to help
: with the Twenty Years War? Could be a reason why they
: are still viewed with suspision in the west...
Perhaps :-).
