The time to talk is after the nuke has either been teleported out of the Mantle's Approach or converted to Hard Light.
That said, a lot of elements came together to make the confrontation unsatisfying. One of the biggest ones was probably Cortana manifesting her rampant fragments through the hardlight bridge.

Yes. Ultimately, the segment would have to be driven by gameplay to make it challenging and interesting.

As for the safe zones, they're the circular areas you drive through. Most of them give you a chance to stop and get your bearings.

Presumably, he cares because Requiem is a resource, and the Didact can reasonably assume that he can purge the intruders without destroying the whole installation. Besides, for all we know, that's where the Prometheans (ugh) being created by the Composer (yuck) are being mustered.

The floor in a tower (Not a random one, because Cortana sent you to those towers because they could prevent the Didact from leaving) can be dropped, but the actual infrastructure probably can't. Time to go platforming!

I mentioned my theory earlier because I wanted to tackle why the Composer didn't make much sense to me. Unfortunately, I didn't write down the rest of what I was thinking.

You came in and asked why I was bothering with a theory because we know that the Librarian modified the Chief's genes.

I asked you how the immunity worked so I would have an opening to present my theory. Because when it comes to advanced alien technology, it's good to know WHAT it does, though not necessarily HOW it does it.
