I can't get it to work with 720p at 50, 59.97 or 60 fps. I've tried old and new drivers, and making sure I'm already in the game :/ Only thing I can think of is HDCP but I don't know why that would suddenly start being a problem unless BOTH cables have the same issue.

I'm going to get another, branded, HDMI cable and see if that makes a difference. The ones I have used have been a little cheap....
