If they move from couples raising children to crèche raising then wouldn't they do that by denigrating couples?
If all children are equal then how does a female get rank? A male leads the clan but how does any arbitrary female child have any more status than any other?
I suppose a Kaidon could give his wife away but how does she keep her status when she is no-longer married to that Kaidon? Does it really work? Here, take one of our females and we will have an alliance, somehow.
In the fiction, private moments between male and female seem to the the only time a Sangheli male can show his tender side. The death of a spouse also gives them something to want revenge for.
