I was thinking something like along the lines of the Monitor tech - floaty spheres with AI. A variant that allows hard light holograms mimicking a parent individual with emulated physical weaponry.

Definitely curious to know if they might appear elsewhere.

We had similar with the hologram technology in multiplayer - more limited in that it's not physical, but it does visually mimick with the jogging and standing animations. Humans could reverse engineer the holodrones to improve our existing tech. :P
