: I am not a fan of that if that is the direction they want to take. Too simple
: and boring. I want the real threat to be the Precursors/Flood which has
: been alluded to in the Forerunner trilogy and the Librarian had been
: planning for and urging humanity to prepare for. I think that having the
: Ur Didact and the Iso Didact confront each other and fight would be a much
: more poetic way to take care of the Ur Didact essentially going mad while
: Chief's true quest is to save humanity from the return of the
: Precursors/Flood. Replacing Halos with Composers is just cheap and boring.

I don't really think you have to worry about that eventuality. I dunno if Escalation will wrap up the Ur-Didact's story but I think it likely the Forge will get nuked, one way or another (after all: "We Discover Forerunner Tech, then we Blow It To Hell" should be the UNSC slogan.)
