I wondered, do the Halo games pass the Bechdel test? If you aren;t familiar, the test was created in 1985 to illustrate how visual media was mostly male dominated / slanted. You 'pass' the test if:

1. There are two named female characters.
2. They talk to each other.
3. The topic of conversation is something other than a man.

Seems pretty simple, but tons and tons of films, TV, and books don't pass this test. Does Halo? I am assuming Cortana counts as female, since she was created from the brain of a female.

Halo 1 - Foe hammer talks to Cortana about her pelican being shot down, and their plan to escape. PASS

Halo 2 - Miranda asks Cortana what she is looking at, and Cortana tells her it’s another Halo. PASS

Halo 3 - Halo 3 Fails the test. There are only two female characters, Miranda and Cortana, and they never speak to each other.

ODST - Fails the Test. Dare is the only female.

Reach - Fails the test. Kat is the only female, possibly other than Noble Six, however Six only speaks to Jorge.
