As a note about the whole Halsey vs. Parangoski showdown fiasco...Did Karen Traviss overlook the fact that the first time we're introduced to Parangoski as a fanbase is when she appeared on an oversight board approving the creation and directing the use of the Spartan-III program? A program whose goal was to create quadruple the amount of Spartans PER GROUP, only to be sent on high-risk missions with no real probability of exfil?

I'd say that Ackerson's plan was arguably more immoral, but you don't see Parangoski beating herself up over that one. She blames Halsey for lying to her, but Ackerson was straight-ass-forward. No iffs, ands, or butts about that one. Except Parangoski. She's a butt.
