: Halopedia says that the Legate was the same as the Prophet seen in the
: Proto-Gravemind, and given how difficult it is to make out stuff in that
: comic I was just going with that. I'll have to double check to see what
: you're talking about. Has there been any sort of official statement
: regarding the Prophet that appeared at the end?
Oh no it's most definitely the same Prophet--there's only the Legate on board. My point is that in the panel after he's thrown to the ground, the Legate is sent packing with the Grunts and Elites--so he's infested more or less the same time the others were. My suggestion was simply that they were infested because the subcommander waited longer than five minutes.
Having just reread the comic, the timing does seem very wonky. It's a massive ship; even assuming the gravity lift led directly to Engineering at one end and the hangar at the other it seems odd that Half-Jaw assumed that fighting to Engineering, setting the destruct sequence, and getting to the Hangar would take the same time as getting to the hangar in five minutes and waiting five minutes.
Then again, it's questionable as to why there's actually a Phantom waiting for Half-Jaw in the end anyhow. Presumably it's the Phantom the Subcommander summoned?
