Best way to FIX Halo 6...
By:SEspider

I realize it's not out yet and that they are in deed still working on it (I believe a small group is).
It's clearly too late to suggest this for Halo 5. I believe it may be too far into it's writing and development stage to make such a change.

I Suggest
Bring us back to Alpha Halo!
End the story where it started.

Thank about it. What better way to introduce players to the Halo Universe? Not all of it of course. add new locations that correspond to the classic Bungie style. "But Alpha Halo was destroyed!" This is true to a point. It was in deed broken up :spoiler: at the end of the first game. But if I'm right, there are still pockets of Ring that supports life and gravity via back up systems. Thus making it possible.

With the destruction, there are clearly going to be structure damage in these locations. Add on top of that the fact it's been 5+ years, there's going to be excavations. But don't make these change a huge part of the layout. Mostly keep it to cosmetic changes. My favorite levels are Halo and the Library. It'll suck if they change too much. But it'll be pretty darn cool to return to our crash site and find our escape pod with skeletons around it and a classic gun or two (same settings).

But above all, LEAVE OUT KILL ZONES!! Allow us to explore the maps as we see fit. It it breaks our experience, then so be it. Chances are that we've already played through it normally, let us have fun for a change. Kill zones ruin that chance of fun.

I just think it'll be fun and incredibly awesome to revisit these classic area with new wildlife, plant growth, and decay.

Story
Oh yeah. As for a reason to return? Just let there be something on the old ring that we need to retrieve to end the battle and save the universe again. Heck, I'll love to find a early copy of Cortana in the Ring's Control Room. Maybe she put it in a digital stasis and it woke up and guided us without us knowing it. In similar ways to the Superintendent in ODST. Only her memory is from the point she was left by Cortana. If we plug her into our helmet, new memory (also left from the real Cortana) enters her data banks and it'll be like she never left us (sorta).
