I'm still in love with you peeps._ Warts and all.

As we grow older together, the things that we evaluate as being worthy of our increasingly-unavailable time and attention continues to transition from what was appealing then to what is appealing now._ Some of that has to do with the fact that our individual tastes and preferences continue to develop and progress, raising the bar in some areas while causing the bar to be ...less insistent on our preferences... in other areas.

And it is logical to expect that our tastes will continue to transition in that way for the rest of our lives, all in response to the level of appeal that we each individually sense towards whatever happens to be available to us, day by day.

I find that this perspective on the situation, in contrast with perspectives that declare
"Halo and our community are dead!_ Give up!_ There's no point anymore!"
acknowledges the fact that it is still quite possible that the future yet holds an opportunity for our time and attention to return to enjoying the kind of Halo that we love, should there ever be new content of that kind._ With this new content would likely come the simultaneous return of the increased sense of community that we know and love, and which significantly increased our enjoyment of what brought us together in the first place.

I get that it hurts to see the flow of gasoline that powered this community get choked essentially to the point of a trickle (if that), leaving us sputtering in comparison with the heights of our golden days.

I get that it's frustrating, I get that it's depressing, and I get that it's angering. That is absolutely not in question.

I just suspect that, by the time of the conclusion of the matter, we will look back and see that it will have been preferable to have moved forward in time towards the possibility of the indisputable death/disbanding of our community with a sense of gratitude for the good things that we've already been given, and with a sense of hope for what may yet come to pass, rather than to have moved forward with a sense of anger and hopelessness.

*shrugs*_ I could be wrong._ idk

But even if it turns out that I was mistaken about this, this path definitely seems more appealing to me.
