Halsey and Jul's forces are blasting away at Sali's splitters, when an entire Covenant fleet arrive through slipspace, launching waves of Phantoms. Sali steps forward, expecting them to be fellow turncoats. He is gunned down as Ayit, Ntho and Usze step off the lead Phantom, followed by the Arbiter who says mockingly, in his Keith David silk/velvet voice: "what is that quaint human saying, Spartan Palmer? Ah, yes..."one good turn deserves another."" The Spartans gape, slack-jawed, as the Swords of Sanghelios devastate both Sali's and Jul's forces.
