I still don't get what people dislike about Nightfall so much. It wasn't great but I didn't think it was really bad at all (I wasn't really paying attention to HBO when it was coming out or for a while after that).

Yes, listen, please, it is good. Also there are little interstitial pieces on the site that are mostly fluff but some help the atmosphere and the second to last one is a full article.

I think you're right to reject hype. Hype and panic are basically opposite sides of the same coin-- equally baseless, equally useless. Hope, on the other hand, is healthy and useful, especially if it's based in reality. I wouldn't get my hopes up just because of a particular actor or character, but if that's what makes you hopeful, good for you.
