I'm getting the impression from the description that his choices are retire or S-IV. So staying an ODST isn't an option. This could be a signal that the Spartan division is absorbing the ODST and other SpecOps branches in the UNSC. I think the time for cowboys like Buck is over. The West was won, gents.
