Yeah, definitely not normal. Did you contact Xbox Support?

I just got an Xbox One as well. Installation for XBO did not take an hour. I don't even think it took 30 minutes. It's been a few days and I wasn't paying attention, but it wasn't much time. And this was during the DDoS issues.

MCC did take what felt like 2 hours or so. I feel like it would've went faster if XBL wasn't having issues from the hacker group. I just played campaign when it said I could until it was done.
