I agree. After much gnashing of teeth over on DBO, I've come to believe that Bungie's relationship with Playstation is a means to an end, a pragmatic decision that allows them to make a game that they would otherwise not be able to.

Which means, because of their relationship with Playstation, I (an Xbox user) get to play a game that (potentially) would not have existed otherwise.

I believe the Marty issue is separate and distinct, and is probably about personality conflict more than anything else. Big company, great success, legendary professionals, huge egos (not necessarily in a bad way), huge pressure, and high stakes - that's a tough mix for any company.

I'm not giving Bungie a free pass - obviously, something in the chemistry of the environment is leading to high profile Bungie employees leaving. I'll wait and see, though in the meantime I'll eagerly await whatever it is Marty does next.
