I know. Those were all huge problems that needed fixing, but to fix them would probably involve having to go in an recode a lot of these things from scratch. Somebody who I used to converse with about Halo years ago created a mod for Halo 2, and he was apparently unable to eliminate the "donut hole" in the shotgun's spread pattern, nor did he seem able to give the sword a battery (though he may have not changed it at all as his list of revised weapon stats didn't include an entry for the sword). He was able to remove tracking on the PP's overcharged shot, but it was unclear if he could actually change the degree of tracking. Point being, Halo 2 is the most broken Halo game ever and really. It really should have been rebuilt from the ground up, but that would be a huge project, and there's a lot of purists out there that prefer it being broken. I enjoyed playing it in LANs with friends, and I didn't really even notice how broken it was until I started playing online and seeing people on the roof of the base on Zanzibar, finding I was unable to dodge charged shots, finding that people were mysteriously able to instakill me up close (BXR) or melee twice as fast (BXB). I'll do customs on the XBO, but I doubt I'll do much matchmaking.
