: I've noticed this as well and gladly exploited it to keep
: my units alive.

: I don't know how much has been discussed about the nature
: of the Stygian Knights on these boards, but what I
: recollect from the game is that they are just suits of
: armor with souls that animate them bound to them. I
: always believed they were put there as sort of a
: permanent guard. What better to guard the crown than
: an army of nigh invincible (assuming no dwarves are
: around) knights who never tire, never grow hungry,
: etc?

the interesting question is why we don't see any in TFL. with 4 sorcerors instead of one, you'd think that there would be plenty of want for some arrow invincible powerful infantry.

that being said, unfortunately, we can rule out the explanation that they are new technology, due to their existance at ancient tombs.

on the other hand, maybe the fallen lords aren't who makes them, but rather lesser sorcerors who still know the secret, or, maybe the dream for them is lost, and all that is left are the residual guards at the kildaer manor, and guarding the tomb of the crown.
