: I meant to click preview post, not post. Here's the rest:
: 3. The Deceiver has had one death, just like everyone
: else who wasn't a god reincarnated: when he exploded
: in "Shiver". He wasn't killed after the
: great war despite the ignorant zerks' conversation:
: the narrator contradicts this totally and completely
: by saying that he clung to life by sorcery alone.
: Again, I see this as in support of my side when I say
: that magic can be used as a life-sustaining and
: life-preserving device.

: My whole side depends on looking at an uncertain thing in
: a particular way, so long as that way isn't
: contradicted plainly in-game.. which I believe it not
: to be. Very much like the rest of the hypotheses
: posted here, I would say. Of course it's open to
: amendment, so fire away!

I think it makes sense to have magic be able to keep you alive, but once you are dead, you're dead.
Your soul has gone off to the Viod and your body is probably too broken down to function (or you wouldn't be dead) so the only way to bring the dead back to any kind of life would be to raise undead, I'm not sure though if the Dream of Unlife or lesser necromatic magic would be what is needed, but I would guess lesser because Dreams are fairly high level spells and even if you don't have to be an Avatara to use them, minor mage people like the Baron (or Soulblighter, since he does not use any form of "Active" magic, other then maybe very tough skin or something) would probably not be able to use them.

Of course who knows... I might be out of my mind.
