Yeah, I was there when Stephen Loftus first turned up, when Stuntmutt's One One Se7en comics were running, when the Halo Story Page was being updated every other week and Rockslider of megabattles fame was taking his early steps into exploring the full extent of Halo as a masterpiece. I miss those days, but I haven't forgotten them.

Reddit does tend to attract a certain amount of mass pretty quickly. I notice that most forums on the internet are depopulating as Reddit gains a level of critical mass for whatever game/tv show/franchise, and with bite-size spoilers/leaks coming out instantly on Twitter and getting wide exposure instantly, it makes a lot more sense for people to keep an eye out for tweets.

The very structure of the internet has changed and it's sad, because even with the inherent clunkiness of old forum software there was a certain sense of community that came with being a forum, and forumgoers always found a way to make the format work anyway.
