I went to bed thinking the world was quietly revolving around its axis (as usual). I went to work, had some coffee, let a contractor into the lab, debugged some device streams stuff.

And then Thomas came in and asked me if I'd seen the new Halo Infinite trailer. I told him that I had but that "new" trailer was MONTHS old...

So: whiplash!!!

Classic Chief

I actually thought that the new look Chief was the "one" good thing that 343 did but I like the new look too. His armour reminded me of the animé episode with the x-wing thingies. Lots of people didn't like that story but I did.

The blue visor highlights were nice and subtle. H2 style health bar and Bungie health sounds were nice.

The interior of the pelican was too big and square. There were times when I wasn't even sure that he WAS in a pelican.

Actionless Trailer

Yes, I couldn't care less about the plight of... the guy and his no-impact emergencies. Oh God, he misses his saccharine family - kill me now. Get to the point guys!

Who thinks that the guy's familial back-story will be an important aspect of the game? ;-)

Less fluff in your trailers please 343. Don't try to tug on my heart strings, they are too atrophied from lack of use. I only care about: the Chief, old Cortana, and... Grunts! (if Joe Staten is voicing them)

And the animation seemed a bit off, was it mo-capped or not? And those cables that disconnected from the Chief... there was nothing on his armour to receive them. Lazy! 343: do better. And who was that guy? Lazy-tech-trope guy? What does he know about the Chief's top-secret armour? Did anybody recognize the Pelican's number?

Yeh, it didn't. Cyberpunk 2077 looked more next gen but I don't really care.

Floating in Space

If it wasn't for the empty Cortana holder I'd be tempted to think that everything after the first game was just a dream.

This trailer didn't have me holding back tears like wot the previous trailer did. And it wasn't the h2 trailer, "The entire fleet is engaged Cortana with respect: what the hell sort of reinforcement have you got?" ooo goosebumps.

Yeh, so, it was ok.
