I'm all for some genre-mixing. StarCraft II had you choose missions and pick units as rewards of those missions so you could replay the campaign and have dramatically different playstyles, along with minor story consequences. Originally Halo 5 was gonna' treat Infinity as some sort of hub between missions which would also have been cool. Even a return to something like the limited roam of ODST's mission structure would be great.
