Yeah, it just sucks it comes at the expense of the early adopters (I mostly wanted DE for the campaign, so I got my money's worth either way, but it's still a shame.)

I don't have the same "evil Microsoft!" hatred a lot of PC gamers seem to have and demand that everything show up on Steam, but I do think the W10 store needs some improvements—finding the way to redeem HWDE was a pain (kept on showing me the wrong version and saying I couldn't download it)—and updates have been touchy (Minecraft W10 will sometimes just get a few KB into downloading and hang. I haven't had a failed update on MacOS in what feels like a decade, and I've never needed any troubleshooting beyond 'huh that's weird, restart the computer and everything's fine.')
