Yeah, I understand the console versions not being able to crossplay. and between One and PC, but it's just silly that the two PC store versions can't play together. And it sucks because you're essentially being punished for being an early adopter of the Deluxe HW2 because most of the playerbase will be on Steam.
I'd REALLY like to have more than Steam being a store out there, so I don't really care much about where the game is bought from - as long as it works - but if you bought Halo Wars 2 Deluxe to get the HW1DE, you have to rebuy HW1 now to play with both bases.
If they want to bootstrap the Windows Store they REALLY need to have no downside to buying anything on it.
