I don't think the white people/black people argument really applies to this as Tuckerscreator was saying. They're both the same species. I always figured grunts and elites were similar to goldfish and German Shepards, though I guess the EU is now doing a better job of dissolving that assumption for me through your all's revelations.

I don't think anyone (myself included) is dumb or ignorant for believing grunts to be simple-minded, as you said Grizzlei, they've been portrayed that way all the time in game, but it does make sense for them not to be the oblivious cannon fodder they appear to be.
