yeah it'll be weird at first

In Response To: Not sure how to feel about that. (Gravemind)

: I did like the option of choosing the map and/or gametype I liked best in
: Reach, Halo 4, and the MCC. However, there's also the fact that some maps
: are so ridiculously popular that they always seem to win in the voting
: rounds, so you end up playing the same maps quite often (in the MCC, Halo
: 3 maps seem to get voted on more than anything else in Team Slayer and
: BTB, which I don't like because Halo 3's gameplay has aged the worst IMO).
: That sucks if you happen to not like or are simply sick of the popular
: map, or if your favorite map isn't all that popular. I guess if you like
: popular maps, gametypes, etc., then you'll lament the loss of voting, but
: if you don't necessarily care for the more popular maps, then you might
: not care much if voting weren't a thing. Democracy is messy, but people
: like having choices instead of having things dictated by unelected central
: planners.

: If the maps are truly rotated randomly (that is, every map appropriate for
: the playlist has equal weighting), then I suppose that's fine. It gives
: every map an equal chance to get played. Sometimes you'll get a map and/or
: gametype you don't like, but sometimes you'll get one you do. It works out
: to be a wash for everybody. It just seems odd that after 8 years of having
: some sort of say over what gets played, that suddenly we're back to the
: Halo 2 way of doing things.

I just hope this also means they'll be playing extra special attention to feedback and will avoid duds in playlists.
