You mean at the far end? In that case perhaps Anniversary/MCC works differently than H1. In H1 I've previously tested whether the cutscene could be triggered without first wiping out the the Grunts at the far end (it's relevant to my kill 'em all speed runs), and my conclusion was "No", since I could never do it.
: It's not because I died though! It was all to make the scene punchier.
Oh, ok. I thought that might be it.
: I recorded some dialogue about that Marine "Where did you come from...
: Get out of my way bandana!" but I didn't like the line
That guy does tend to come out of nowhere!
: I agree this is a better place to go in depth than the YouTube comments.
Following on from your YouTube reply, I think perhaps if you'd made more of needing a health pack, that might've heightened the tension. But the vibe I got was that you were so keen to get off the ship, you didn't quite realize how precarious your situation was at certain points, especially where you went down to one bar with shield bleeping - the first of two times you came within a whisker of death without showing the sort of panicky desperation one might normally have expected. I was especially worried for you when you tackled the two Elites in the corner, but as it turned out, that went ok.
Actually I've noticed that there's one thing Woaf 117 does pretty well, so he couldn't have been a complete washout in training. When an Elite takes a swipe, it's often neatly avoided with a backstep. E.g. nicely seen in part 5 at about 1:22 when you tackled the blue behind the shield.
By the way, were you not tempted to throw a load of frags at the final guys, having reached a place where there were suddenly lots available?
