I'm either sorely forgetting how unforgiving halo ce's legendary campaign is, or i've stumbled onto some glitch that is granting covies infinite respawns. I've boarded the ship and am in the second large room of the interior where you can drop down from the upper level and get to the locked door.

At my most patient moment, i've killed over 100 enemies in this area based on the invincible medal showing up and a somewhat recent checkpoint. I still didn't clear out the lower area enough to run out and grab ammo, so i went scavenging up on the second level. I peaked at what was left in the room below and was floored by what i found (sorry the 30 second clips are def longer than they need to be):

That's after killing 100+ covies!!! i'm pretty sure this isn't normal, but if i'm mistaken let me know. I would find this situation enjoyable (if it's even possible to get past) if i hadn't lost my pistol earlier - or even better, if this was on heroic. Instead it has been a slow process to try to progress past this point. I'm very close to restarting the level, but something tells me there is more fun to be had here.

After i realized i was up against stacked odds i started storming the lower level, the mountain of enemies waiting behind one of the doors is rather alarming:

Also, for fun, i managed to grab 10 killionaire's by lobbing a sticky into this door in a later attempt. Clearly some sick skill in that, i'll be expecting calls to join HCS teams at any moment now.

So has anybody else encountered this? I think this is my first time playing through CE on MCC, so i'd be curious if it is common. If my memory is off base and this is standard fare for CE, don't mind me :P
