This is a free round I've been anticipating for some time, as I know it has the potential to showcase many fascinating ideas that people have had when reading through the Halo novels.
Subject:
Precursor Tech
Specifications:
Depict the physical manifestation of neural physics: the visual aesthetic of Precursor tech like star roads and orbital arches.
Sources:
Cryptum
Silentium
Details:
The Precursors, a transsentient species that seeded much of the Milky Way galaxy with life, primarily utilized a concept known as neural physics in their technology. It was based on the idea that the universe itself was a form of living entity beyond the comprehension of mortal races. The closer a race came to understanding the universe, the more mastery they had over its physics, allowing them to create solid objects and travel between galaxies using a form of highly advanced sciences. This understanding was apparent in the Precursor's technology, indestructible manifestations of their will that could withstand millions of years of entropy and extreme gravitational forces.
In the Halo games, the primary factions (human, Covenant, Forerunner, Flood) all have their own visual aesthetic.
Human
Covenant
Forerunner
As the Precursors have only been explored in the novels, the aesthetic for their technology has yet to be established; all that is known is that objects built using neural physics are capable of altering their mass at will. This leaves the overall design of this tech open to personal interpretation.
