I don't know. It looks hopelessly... generic? Like if you told a bunch of artists to design a "videogame VTOL" this is probably what you'd get if you merged the results. But it's certainly in line with 343i's Tronrunner aesthetic.

I find the idea that the Forerunners would have something as traditional as a combat aircraft to be questionable in the first place. The books give the impression that there really is no distinction for them between a combat suit and air or space fighters (see: War Sphinx), and that most of the roles vehicles fill in more traditional armed forces would instead be handled by lots and lots of specialized Sentinels and other drones.

Then again, this is the studio that thought it appropriate for a civilization that builds Dyson spheres as a side project to use break-action shotguns.
