Nice to hear someone complaining about that CEA plasma pistol! I complained about that glitch when I wrote my CEA campaign thoughts, also noting that it couldn't fire as rapidly as the PAL original I was used to. At the time, I never heard anyone chiming in about the broken/nerfed PP, but the way you're talking, apparently I wasn't the only player it seriously annoyed.

That said, I don't think they were ever going to be doing fixes in that MCC were they? I don't have it, but I was of the impression that you can expect all the old shortcomings to be present in each of the games (campaign-wise at least).

Incidentally, although the PP is an absolute powerhouse in H1, I wouldn't say it's "essentially required" on Legendary. Darned handy yes, but not essential.
