Actually, the sniper still has multiple zoom levels, the zoom function is mapped to the left thumbstick on the default layout (so you'd scope in on the left trigger, then zoom further on the left thumbstick). I actually play Recon, so it still traditional toggle zoom and scope in on the right stick, the default layout felt kinda awkward to me.

But I did enjoy the rounds I've played so far, I've found it better to almost intentionally take it slow, and not use armor abilities until its tactically advantageous to use them. (this comes after running around like an idiot into outgunned firefights repeatedly)

Guns sound really punchy, feel pretty good, it does seem like there is less auto aim, not entirely sure. I'd personally prefer that scoping in would still maintain some of the classic blur/overlay on your peripherals, since a lot of the scopes seem rather busy. Also it seems like grenades have some crazy bounce ranges and really move people out of the way when they explode.

In any case, looking forward to playing more of it on the 29th.
