: The Mongoose isn't a Ghost equivalent. It hasn't been a Ghost equivalent

The Mongoose isn't meant as an offensive vehicle. It's designed for speed.
Battle in the middle of the map and all you've got is a Shotgun and AR?
Jump the Goose and MEEP MEEEEEEEEP into battle! Jump off and start shooting!
Not to mention it can carry the Flag or Bomb in objective gametypes.
That's why it doesn't have weapons, it would change the role and make it less effective.
