Call me crazy, but I kind of agree with him.

For games, IMO, HD is absolutely necessary. Too much small font these days for SD to be appropriate. But for TV and movies, I prefer SD. My dad and my brothers think I'm insane, and get mad when I refuse to switch to the HD TV broadcast. But I find HD to have an unnatural crispness and a lot of harsh edges. Everything is less well-defined in SD, but the picture seems warmer and more natural to me. For anything outside of games, screw HD.
