Cons: - Just like with H1A, 343 is cashing in on games that we've already
: bought. They are banking on our nostalgia. Marketing to the people who
: remember the "good ole days" and such. More of the old
: attempting to get you to buy something refinished, not new.
: - H1A came out three years ago and didn't even include full multiplayer, and
: the "new" graphics for the campaign had issues. They charged you
: $40 for it. Now, three years later, they want you to pay for H1 again, but
: with all of their maps.
: - To add to the above, H4 came out two years ago, still has many problems,
: and has dropped users like flies online. So, H1-4 collection, $60. I'd say
: drop H1 campaign, give all of the maps, drop H4, give all of the maps, and
: drop that price to $35-40 since, if they can bundle ALL of this together,
: we got seriously ripped off on H1A.
: - Terminals in H2. Give me a break.

: Concerns: - It took 343 months and endless TUs and patches to "fix"
: H4, and it still has a bunch of problems. How many problems will these
: redone maps have in multiplayer, let alone gameplay, and will they care
: all that much about fixing them and responding when they have H5 and its
: Beta/launch to worry about?
: - Button glitches are in. I assume super bouncing is in (even though I
: personally view it as cheating). What TU version of H2 are they releasing?
: Is the Dummy Glitch still in (it's hilarious, but I hope not). Are the
: ways to wedge yourself outside of maps, or to throw the Oddball or Neutral
: Bomb outside of some maps (without them resetting due to basic proximity)
: still in a lot of maps? I love H2 to death, but that game had some
: serious, serious problems that were still unaddressed when those servers

: - 343's handling of H1A, Reach, and H4, plus the pricing for H1A vs. this
: bundle that contains all the things, makes me not want to give them any of
: my money. I feel like they're ripping consumers off, and there are no
: guarantees that they aren't going to release another flawed and busted
: product. These are genuine concerns of mine. I want to see these things
: played, and extensively, and not by their MLG mouthpieces who they'll
: throw around prior to launch who will then turn around and hate on it
: later. I really can't commit to giving them my money or getting an Xbox
: One for this bundle until I see it in action, or wait to see how long
: after launch (one month, like with H4?) with the holidays they take to
: drop that price down after grabbing $60.

: So, the crazy thing about where I stand on this is that the small list of
: pros I put up there are almost entirely enough to trump my cons and my
: concerns. It may sound crazy, but I can't say I like that. It falls under
: that bit about how they're targeting my nostalgia after Halo 4 was a
: massive failure (in my opinion). It's like they're trying to build me up
: before bombing H5. When do I stop giving this company my money? A large
: chunk of my Xbox Live friends are still on the fence for this for many of

: that another chunk of my friends are totally 100% sold and will be
: purchasing an Xbox One because of this Halo announcement.

: I'm going to wait and see for now. I have until at least September as far as
: Destiny is concerned, and that should hopefully be enough time to see and
: hear about more of this bundle from HBO people, the internet, PAX, etc.

So, do you still own all your favorite movies on VHS? Or did you give in to the marketing and buy them again on DVD and Blu Ray?

Also, I recommend watching the IGN interview. Answers some of your concerns regarding their support for the collection and the glitches. Despite what a lot of us might think sometimes, 343 is doing their best and wants to create great Halo experiences.
