: in the case of Elites, there were plenty who were willing to forsake some
: principles in exchange for recompense. It's easy to be a moral absolutist
: in the kind of war the Elites engaged in.

The problem is that getting drunk and puking makes the Elites feel too human. What's the point of an alien species if they're basically humans with some cultural quirks?
