You should play it.

The first few games I played it, I felt unimpressed by the "caught off-guard" combat. It isn't that satisfying to kill someone who isn't looking at you, or be killed by someone you never see. I'm used to Halo's more drawn-out combat, where getting shot a few times from an unseen opponent doesn't mean you're dead. You can still duck away to re-engage later, or turn and fight, maybe even winning.

The wall running is a fantastic hook, though, and that kept me coming back. I started to get into the gunplay a bit more, but then I made a fatal mistake of partying up with some friends.

That was a lot of fun and suddenly playing it solo felt empty and boring.

I never seemed to do well as a Titan. I think being able to customize it would help a lot.
