Like I said, I think this whole thing is ridiculous, but to play devil's advocate for a second, they can't even joke? "So yeah, that happened. Sorry about that! It's not ready yet, but we're almost there and can't wait to tell you more!" I guess people just want acknowledgement from 343 that this is a thing. I still can't believe that it's a thing or that this thread is a thing. :P

The fact that 343 is infallible to you is ridiculous to me. I guess you missed the memo on how I've agreed with Wu and even posted in this thread to begin with to say that the fact that people are going at 343 for this apparent mistake is ridiculous. But hey, do your thing. On its merits, personal opinion aside, it is ridiculous, and Wu is absolutely right. Personal opinion involved, I can't say I'm surprised by the mistake that happened (which still doesn't make the reaction of others to it any less ridiculous).

Again, I posted in this topic because even I found the fact that people are throwing a fit over this to be fairly ridiculous.

Also, you see what you want to see. You clearly haven't read any previous threads that involved my posting on where the story was going, things with Mendicant Bias, etc. Or if you did, I know as a fact you never responded. Not even pre-H4. Not after H4. Regardless of if it's me posting it, DHalo posting it (with or without me replying), etc. Speculation here isn't what it used to be. It is when it comes to the novels and comics and whatnot, but not really the games.

Personal opinion. I think Reach had a lot to do with that. You want negativity? Go check out those old mega threads of Reach not being canon, people re-writing the story, ripping the story and writing itself to shreds, etc.

Well until I start telling you what you think or feel is wrong because it's different from how I think or feel, I don't think that works. It appears to me that 343 can do no wrong in your eyes, whereas I see many mistakes, many fixed, and then many more made after the fixes. My expectations are extremely low for them, though recent personnel changes give me much better hopes for H5 (though I'd say they'll probably get it all figured out by H6). And that you have selective reading or just don't read, since the entire reason I posted in this thread was because I agreed with Wu completely and I can't believe this is a thing people are getting mad about says a lot. But do what you gotta do. Read what you want to read. Search for the chime-ins you want to see and avoid the posts that aren't negative (the ones you don't go out of your way to actually respond to if you do read them).
