Okay, I'm back in business, and I've already got a full Cavern Megabattle set up with an entrance blockade, spare weapons, and vehicles, including a Marine-Retaining Warthog with guys already in it; I even have a Sniper I can choose to kill if I so desire. I did end up getting lazy and killing two Grunty gunners and two Wraiths, depriving me of four enemies, but oh well. At least I somehow killed a random Marine without even knowing it (probably when I let them out of the ice tunnel blockade, though I didn't hear any squashing, so it's a little weird), which balances things a little. One interesting result of that Marine death was that the response by the other Marines is delayed so that it plays about the same time I usually open the entrance blockade and start diving into battle, much to my amusement. For instance, I grabbed the Warthog and drove it over the Blockade while leaving the Marines behind, and as I did so, I heard one of the Marines go "What the hell?" Appropriate, considering that I'm tackling a whole group of Covies with just a Warthog. I also think that Warthog bombing run ended badly (as in, me driving into the chasm on accident).
Vale,
Perseus
